We are a church in Westchester where people belong. People, no matter what they look like, what they wear, what they drive, who they know themselves to be, because they are children of God.

No matter what you’ve been called, or who the world says you are, you belong at First Baptist, first and foremost because you are a child of God.

Jesus called people to follow him in groups. His ministry established a very close and diverse group of friends we know as the 12 disciples. We do our best to encourage friendships within our larger community.

Jesus welcomes the stranger, the outcast, and his enemies to a healing relationship. We endeavor to do the same.

OUR PASTOR

Reverend Frank T. Fraley

Reverend F. Timothy Fraley, a native of Brooklyn, NY, and a lifelong member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, is the youngest of six siblings born to Henry and Ollie Fraley. His journey of faith and education began early in the New York City Public School System, where he demonstrated a keen intellect and a passion for learning. He holds diplomas, certificates, and degrees from Erasmus Hall High School, the Fashion Institute of Technology, the State University of New York, and New York University. Furthering his commitment to theological education, Reverend Fraley graduated from Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree with a concentration in Christian Education, reflecting his dedication to deepening his theological knowledge and enhancing his pastoral skills.

Baptized at the age of seven at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Reverend Fraley’s life has been marked by a steadfast devotion to Christian leadership. His ordination to the Board of Deacons in 1985 was a significant milestone, symbolizing his commitment to serving the church community. Throughout his membership at Cornerstone, he has held numerous leadership roles, including:

Instructor, New Members Class (Discipleship Training)
Organizing Director, First Friends Ministry
Vice Chairman, Board of Deacons (1988-2009)
Chairman, Fannie L. Taylor Scholarship Fund Committee (1987-2003)
Director of the Board of Christian Education (2012 - 2020)

Reverend Fraley’s influence extends beyond the church walls. He is dedicated to building robust business and community partnerships to tackle issues affecting low-income and minority populations. His career is distinguished by diverse roles, including Chief Financial Officer at the legendary Motown Record Company, Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Mount Vernon, NY, and Vice President of Mount Vernon Hospital. Since 2008, he has been a pivotal figure in the Mount Vernon business community as the President of the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce. In academia, he serves as an Assistant Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology, State University of New York.

In his role as President of SHARE NY, Reverend Fraley leverages over 30 years of leadership experience from both the public and private sectors. He is a steadfast advocate for clean and affordable energy for all New Yorkers, embodying his commitment to social justice and community service. He resides in Westchester, New York, with his wife Lisa and their four children, where they actively participate in their local community.

A significant milestone in his ministry was reached on June 23, 2024, when Reverend Frank Timothy Fraley was elected unanimously by the congregation of First Baptist Church of White Plains as their Senior Pastor. This election underscores the congregation’s trust in his leadership and vision for the church’s future. Above all, Reverend Fraley is a dedicated servant of the Most-High God, continuously striving to inspire and lead others in their spiritual journeys.
